Classic Pork & Bean Soup should have super forces. Though it doesn’t have arms, it hugs me similar to the Boy in Margery Williams’ The Velveteen Rabbit hugs his favorite bunny.
I simply ate a bowl filled with this deliciousness and feel so darn cozy, warm & snuggly at this time. I really like it and particularly like it offered more than a thick slice of skillet cornbread.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about!!
The primary reason Classic Pork & Bean Soup affects me so strongly could it be jogs my memory of my father. My father made the best Navy Beans & Pork (father used navy beans). Each time I make bean soup, I picture Father standing in the kitchen area, lifting the pork bone from the huge soup pot and picking the juicy meat from the bone. I see him tasting it, selecting the right seasonings and sprinkling to his heart’s content. He never adopted a recipe – he adopted his senses and try to first got it perfect. Sadly, Irrrve never required notes or viewed him as carefully when i must have, however i think he’d are proud of my efforts.
Classic Pork & Bean Soup is definitely an ultimate comfort food for me personally. It jogs my memory of home. It jogs my memory of my father.
A couple of my other favorite Simply Sated bean recipes are White-colored Chicken Chili and Apple Brown Sugar Baked Beans.
